In numerous tests using salsa, ketchup, cherry Kool-Aid®, mustard, mayonnaise, Clearasil®, throat spray, salad dressing, red wine, coffee, tea and shoe polish, SmartStrand consistently outperformed other similar carpet fibres, including premium stain-treated nylon. Most stains remove easily with simple hot water extraction and a mild detergent. The fibre even resists discoloration from bleach.
